Privacy policy

EightPillars Pty Ltd (ABN 50 675 371 543) builds and fits out homes and commercial spaces in Victoria. This policy explains what we collect through eightpillars.com.au, why, and what we do with it.

What we collect

When you send a quote to check or ask us to quote, we collect:

• your name, mobile, email and suburb;
• the job you choose and anything you tell us about it;
• when you would like to start, your rough budget and, if you tell us, whether finance is in place;
• any files you upload, such as a quote, plans, photos or specifications.

When you send an enquiry from our contact page, we collect your name, email, phone if you give it, the work type, its location and your description.

If you accept measurement cookies, Google and Meta record that you visited and whether you sent a form or tapped our phone number. If you decline, or have not chosen, none of these cookies are set.

Why we collect it

• To answer your enquiry: to review your quote, prepare a quote, call or email you about it, and keep a record of what you sent us.
• To see which of our ads work, but only if you have accepted measurement cookies.

Where it goes

• Email: your details go by email to our estimating mailbox.
• Acknowledgement: when you use the quote check, we send you one acknowledgement email.
• Enquiry records: your details are recorded in our own enquiry records, so we can keep track of each enquiry and reply on time.
• Files: files you upload are kept in private storage. Only we can open them, through links that expire.
• Measurement: if you accept measurement cookies, Google and Meta process the measurement data under their own privacy policies.
• Never sold: we do not sell your information or share it for anyone else's marketing.
• Quotes from other builders: we review the quote, never the builder, and you are welcome to black out the other builder's name before you upload it.
• Some of our service providers store data outside Australia.

How long we keep it

• Enquiry records: we keep enquiry records for 12 months after the last change to an enquiry. After that, the name, mobile, email and notes are cleared.
• Files and email: files you upload and the email copies of your enquiry are kept for 12 months after the enquiry closes. If the enquiry becomes a job, they are kept with the job records.

Your choices

• See, correct or delete: you can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you.
• Cookies: you can change your cookie choice at any time with the Cookie settings link at the foot of every page.
